A new and exciting range of aromatic pipe tobaccos from Kopp.

Inspired by The Caribbean they have created six blends associated with the flavours and redolence of the area.

These blends have been named after various characters (famous or otherwise)  who shaped that part of the world.

Seegar

Born Edward Seegar in Ireland around 1685 he changed his name to Edward England. An officer, he became a pirate whilst working on a sloop taken by pirates having gained their trust. His career spanned a period classed as "the golden age of piracy" (1690-1720) it came to an end when his crew marooned him with a few others on the island of Mauritius. After being stranded for a few months they knocked a boat up and managed to reach Madagascar. It's unclear what his ultimate fate was but he more than likely died in poverty as the Royal Navy significantly increased its presence in the region and the seas were made safer for merchant vessels.

The blend associated with Seegar is a mixture of Virginias, Black and Brown Cavendish, Burley, and a hint of Latakia. To this complex blend a top dressing of tonka bean, citrus, rum, and caramel offers a rich and heady smoke.

This is an aromatic blend that will appeal to those who want to experiment with blends that contain Latakia.
