Pipe makers to the rich and famous Barling dealt with Bing Crosby and his contemporaries having started business in 1812. They originally made silver fitments to adorn briar bowls turned by French carvers at St. Claude.

By 1906 Barling was turning briar bowls using only the very best of old growth air seasoned Algerian briar.

Their reputation grew and grew but in 1960 they sold the business to Imperial Tobacco and Barling as pipe makers began a downward career and the name nearly disappeared forever.

Today Barling has been acquired by Kopp pipes who are keen to re-establish the name as a leading brand and offer pipe smoker's a top quality product.
