Product Description
Solani | 656 Aged Burley Flake Pipe Tobacco | 50g Tin
Solani's Aged Burley Flake is luxury objectified! How does one begin to describe such a pleasure obtained from only three Burley varieties?! Dark Brown Burley from Kentucky, Light Burley from Brazil and White Burley from Malawi have been brought together, matured, roasted, pressed and heated in a unique manner to create a cake which is then sliced into flakes after 6 weeks. These flakes are sumptuous, naturally sweet, flavourful and unequalled in the Burley genre. Naturally sweet, which is unusual for a Burley, the nuttiness comes across like pecans or Brazil nuts. There's earthiness and subtle coffee hues to enjoy too.
Opening the tin releases the rich tobacco scent which is woody, leathery, nutty and has a subtle toasty cinnamon pastry note to it. As uniform slices, the flakes appear somewhat like miniature ornate aged wood planks. They feel superb. Perfectly moist and easy to work with, it's difficult to resist filling your pipe. Lighting this tobacco, as the flame dances, is wonderfully easy and it simply stays alight without too much attention. It burns long and cool, with no bite.
