Product Description
The 3s is a chunky looking Bent Apple first listed in the Peterson catalogue of pipe shapes in 1896. Also known as a shape 03, it's a medium size bowl ,a popular shape since introduction.
Fitted with the patented "System" to trap moisture and "P" lip, designed to avoid tongue bite, the Deluxe version was first seen in 1937.
Only the finest grain briar is selected, then stained and polished. A wide sterling silver band and a black acrylic stem complete the line-up.
This pipe sits beautifully in the hand, the smooth finish bowl holds a decent amount of tobacco and should give a smoke of between 30-45 minutes depending on technique.
The silver fitment has the Peterson name stamped on the band, there is a "P" lip on the chunky black acrylic stem, and a "wear-gap" which helps identify the pipe as a Deluxe model.
This is not a filter pipe, it is sold boxed with a pipe bag and a small silver cloth for cleaning the band.
