The history of Mehari's cigars...
Mehari's cigars launched in 1976 immediately rose in popularity because they are loved for their handy size, aromatic flavour, use of high quality tobaccos and eye-catching boxes.
Every second, somewhere in the world, 11 Mehari's are being lit. This makes Mehari's cigars the third largest cigar brand in the world. Today, Mehari's has a range of 15 different cigarillos in 25 different packs, each of which offers cigar lovers a consistent value and perfect taste, making the brand a perennial favourite.
The origin of the name Mehari's lays in Africa, where it was named after a camel species, a white racing dromedary. This symbolises the roots of Mehari's that lie in Cameroon where camel racing tournaments were held. Throughout the years, more cigars were added to the Mehari's range such as Brazil, Mild & Light and Mild & Sweet (flavoured cigarillo). Later the last two product names changed into Ecuador and Sweet Orient. By this time Mehari's cigarillos were wrapped with a Java wrapper instead of a Cameroon wrapper to further enhance the aromatic taste that Mehari's smokers enjoy so much.
