Product Description
In the First World War, a soldier couldn't get his favourite pipe repaired easily, so if he broke his peg, he took an old bullet casing and hammered it onto the shank. The stem with the broken peg could then be shoved into the other end, not pretty but he got his smoke.
And so the Army mount was born, quick and easy to maintain it's practical, and nowadays, Peterson have refined it with the use of sterling silver for their higher grade pipes.
This XL90 is a biggish bent Billiard with a smooth bowl, the warm brown finish looks the part, it's comfortable to hold and offers a good smoking period. The nickel army mount makes for easy cleaning, even when warm. A vulcanite stem with a fishtail lip completes the picture.
A perfect pipe for anyone wanting something not fussy, it comes boxed with a dust bag.
