We carefully weigh and pack all our loose pipe tobaccos to order. If you request a 1 x 25g pack or 2 x 25g packs, you will receive this in a branded non-resealable tobacco pouch clearly labelled with its contents. If you request 3 x 25g packs or more you will receive your tobacco in a convenient resealable air tight bag ensuring optimum freshness, also clearly labelled. Orders for 20 packets i.e. 500g will be dispatched in the manufacturer's original, unopened packaging.
All our twist tobacco varieties are manufactured by the same spinning process using dark fired wrapper leaves. The filler is predominantly dark fired leaf with the addition of a small percentage of dark air cured Indian leaf. Black Twist, because the cooking process removes some of the stronger tar and nicotine elements, provides a milder smoke than the brown twist.
Twist and Rope tobaccos have a double purpose. In the 19th & 20th century smoking was prohibited in the pits so the miners would chew the tobacco to release the nicotine. Nowadays experienced and curious pipe smokers slice it up and mostly smoke it in their pipes.
