Product Description
Foundation Cigars Charter Oak Connecticut Shade Petite Corona Cigar - Single
A legend in Connecticut history, the hollow trunk of the Charter Oak was the hiding place of the colony's charter from King James of England.
Another legend is Nicholas Melillo (born and bred in this area), whose vast knowledge and experience of using Connecticut River Valley tobacco in cigar making is hitting cult status.
After a spell at Drew Estate he started Foundation cigars in 2015 with the aim of creating blends he would enjoy himself.
The Charter Oak series is his way of paying homage to the area, its people and the tobacco they grow.
The Foundation Charter Oak Connecticut Shade Petite Corona is a rich and creamy medium-bodied cigar with notes of dark chocolate, nutmeg and cedar.
Rolled at the Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua in Esteli each cigar starts a Connecticut Shade wrapper, a Sumatran binder and filler from Nicaragua.
Smooth smoking indeed.
