Design Berlin are a well respected German pipe maker with roots dating back to 1948 with a reputation for producing beautiful, unique high quality briar pipes that mix traditional Danish influenced pipe making with German precision and design.
The results are some fantastic looking lines with quite unique shapes.
Released in 2026 the Amber II range offer amazing value for money for such a high end looking briar pipe. The standout feature of this pipe is the stunning marbled effect Amber coloured mouthpiece, this really brings the grain on the high polished briar, finished off with the metal army style mount which really brings it all together perfectly and gives the pipe a classy look.
The Amber II DBP035 is a fantastically proportioned, well balanced semi bent pipe with a nice tall Dublin bowl that has a slight calabash look to it. Even with the tall bowl this pipe still manages to have quite a sleek, slender look to it. The bowl takes a good amount of tobacco and the pipe sits well in the hand. This pipe takes a 9mm Filter.
A beautiful pipe which looks and feels like it should have a much higher price tag.
