Century Pirates Plunder Krumble Kake is a new arrival from Century that will be everything you hope for in an English blend.
Well presented in neatly pressed briquettes (Krumble Kake) that rubs out to a coarse mixture of pieces and ribbon. The blend is smooth and robust with a heavy dose of special Latakia accompanied by mature Virginia, Burley and tangy Cavendish. Pirate Cake by Century is a Latakia lover's treasure.
The dark and light leaves are easily distinguishable by sight, and although this pipe tobacco has a high Latakia content, it is not overwhelming. The Krumble Kake is easy to pack, and the smell is smoky. The flavour is smooth as butter, rich with wood, earth and leather, and some underlying sweetness coupled with the Jamaican Rum, especially when sipped slowly.
We highly recommend Pirates Plunder for Latakia fanatics or pipe smokers who like their mixtures on the monochromatic side, with few taste changes during their smoke. Awesome stuff. The heavy metal of the pipe tobacco world.
