Century Merchants Folly pipe tobacco is a beautifully crafted Old Belt red Virginia and stoved Cavendish Krumble Kake.
The term "Old Belt" is a phrase that refers to Virginias grown in Virginia and North Carolina, where you will find some of the oldest tobacco houses. The Virginia Old Belt reds are grassy with zesty citrus and tangy stewed dark fruit notes. The black Cavendish (Virginia that has undergone the process that makes it Cavendish which in the English tradition means high-pressure steaming, which allows fermentation and natural sweetness to occur) is formulated to smoke mild and smooth from fire-curing and steam sweating; it adds sweetness in a hint of dark roasted vanilla bean, giving the smoke volume. A reserved application of whisky compliments the tobacco and doesn't eclipse the flavours.
Merchants Folly is a great all-day smoke that burns with little maintenance, and if you puff slowly, it won't bite. Super tasty with body!
