Mac Baren's Amphora Original blend is a wonderfully luxuriant chocolate aromatic pipe tobacco that aims high and achieves the appreciation of many followers. It's a ribbon cut mixture of finest Burley leaf, Cavendish, Kentucky, Oriental and Virginia, which may seem complex but each leaf plays an important role. The Burley is the base of the blend with chocolate topping to accentuate its natural nuttiness, creaminess, and earthiness. Kentucky brings out the boldness, giving a darker chocolate feel. The orientals offer a little floral spice and some minor sour. Finally, Virginia balances the burley with grassy citrus earthiness. The blend burns cool and consistently, behaving well as it is smoked.
