Product Description
Gold Block is a sweetened Virginia and Burley tobacco, ribbon cut and easy going in all respects. The scent of the tobacco in the pouch is�sweet, almost like caramel with citrus and hay from the Virginia and some earthiness from the burley. Preparation for smoking is easy, a pipe can be loaded in seconds. Lighting is also easy, so too is keeping the blend lit. The smoke is sweet, with Virginia flavours in the fore, hay, lemon and a little spice. The burley is sweet, with a mild woodiness, nuttiness and earth. This blend may burn quickly if puffed too fast, so a moderate smoking pace should be used, the reward for this is a fuller, richer flavour.
Gold Block is a blend that goes back many years, first introduced by Ogden's of Liverpool, now produced by Mac Baren in Denmark.
