Century Charlestown Blockade Pipe Tobacco is a beautifully crafted straight Virginia Krumble Kake blended from aged red Virginias. The ageing process enhances the tobacco by mellowing the Virginias, bringing out additional natural sugars which change the flavour profile producing a mildly fermented, tangy dark pudding, sweet dried cherries, figs, and light raisin leading the way with bass notes of mild spice, brown bread and earthy wood.

Charlestown Blockade is pleasing to look at and hold with definite Red Virginia characteristics. It breaks off easily and fills/settles in the bowl very well. A strong candidate for newer pipe smokers dipping their toes into straight Virginia blends. It is more forgiving and smokes cooler than your average straight Virginia.
