Savinelli Fuoco Rusticated Briar Pipe - Shape 111 (6mm)
Fuoco is the Italian word for fire, and this Savinelli series takes its inspiration from a 1566 Renaissance painting by Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo called Il Fuoco.
The rusticated finish has been expertly done, the dark brown stain used has not taken as deeply on the raised bits and this has produced an interesting two tone effect. . A two step chrome band leads to a black acrylic mouthpiece. The pipe takes a 6mm Balsa filter and is sold with one fitted, also supplied is one 6mm active charcoal filter and a plastic converter.
This Billiard 111 pipe sits beautifully in the hand and the bowl offers a good length of smoking pleasure.
Owning the painting would be nice, but probably the next best (and affordable) thing is to be the owner of a beautiful Savinelli Fuoco pipe.
