Otello Lorenzetti had a passion for art, and when he looked at a briar pipe, he often wondered, how does such a beautiful piece of art come from a piece of wood? In 1934 with just a few rented tools and his own hands he set about satisfying his curiosity.
When Otello started producing pipes, he was able to make around 20 a day. Every morning with the company of his bicycle he would sell them to local tobacconists. His beautiful pipes were such a success he would work more than 12 hours a day to meet the demand of his new customers.
In the late sixties, his company begins to expand and becomes part of Marinella. With the help of their children Luciano, Gabriella, Alessandro and a few employees the production starts to perfect itself.
Lorenzetti today is appreciated throughout the world and is one of the most famous pipe collections of all times.
